CHERISH/NSYNC SWAGGER JACKERS?

Now we all know music has a tendancy to lend itself to past successes . Producers will use a formula over and over again and thats okay as I've come to expect it.
When I first heard Cherish's "Amnesia" straight away it reminded me of "Gone" by Nsync.. still i thought nothing of it until i saw the video.

Nsync singing fallornly into the camera while Justin sings alone looking pensive all the while the black and white video cuts away to happy memories.

Regardless of Nsync being pop (pop r&b at best) their success is humongous and I dont blame any group or it's management trying to copy that whole deal but
DID YOU HAVE TO BE SO BLATANT ABOUT IT ??
